Blast through numbered enemy waves, grab power-ups and take down the mothership every fifth wave.
Slip upward through alien-controlled zones. Patrol drones sweep searchlights, laser gates pulse on a rhythm, and every zone has a countdown to reach the exit gate.

Escape as many zones as possible. Every zone you escape is worth 500 points, and the seconds left on the zone timer become a time bonus, so a fast, clean escape scores the most.
Zone 1 is short, with one slow laser gate and two slow drones. Each new zone is longer (up to about 4.6 screens tall), adds laser gates and drones, keeps lasers on for longer and off for less time, widens the drone detection range and speeds up chasing drones. The timer also gets relatively tighter each zone. Chasing drones always stay slower than your ship.
| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| Zone escaped | 500 points |
| Time bonus | 10 points per second left on the zone timer |
| Being spotted | No penalty by itself, but a chasing drone can cost a life |

Alien Escape is a stealth-flavored arcade game about timing and route choice rather than shooting. You have no weapons. Every zone is a vertical stretch of an alien base that you climb from bottom to top, and the obstacles all follow readable patterns: drone searchlights sweep back and forth, and laser gates switch on and off on a steady rhythm with a countdown label, so a careful player can always find a safe moment.
The pressure comes from the zone timer. Waiting too long for the perfect gap wastes seconds that would have become bonus points, and the timer running out costs a life. Later zones are taller and more crowded, with more drones, wider detection cones and lasers that stay on longer. Being spotted is not instantly fatal, because your ship is faster than any drone, but a chase can push you into a laser or another searchlight. Your personal best is saved locally in your browser.

The drone shows a ! mark, turns red and chases you. It is slower than your ship. If you stay well out of its range for about a second and a half, it gives up and flies back to its patrol route. Touching it costs a life.
Every laser gate has a text label with a countdown: OFF with the seconds until it turns on, WARNING in the last second before it turns on, and LASER ON with the seconds until it turns off. You only need to avoid it while it is on.
You lose a life and the same zone restarts from the bottom with a full timer. If it was your last life, the run ends.
You stay where you were (just below the beam if a laser hit you) and blink for 2 seconds of invulnerability. Any chasing drones give up and return to their patrol.
